Flashback: This Time Two Weeks Ago.

Give or take a day.

We were invited to a BBQ with some friends, and it was such a wonderful time.

Turtle and their little boy, B, put in some time in B's kitchen.

It's a good thing that's not real fire.



Turtle wanted to sit up at the bar. Because that's where all the appetizers were. I obliged him and when I looked back, he was loading up his plate. I can't blame him. The food was awesome.



WARNING: What you are about to see is NOT for the faint of heart.

Behold the most ridiculous of ridiculous desserts. A trifle of brownies and Reese's peanut butter cups and peanut butter and chocolate goodness. There are really no words to describe how rich and delicious this was. Did I say delicious? Because it was. AND, this was T's very first trifle. Well done.



And this is just a little joke. I made a mac & cheese and forgot to bring the goldfish to sprinkle on top. I had to snag some from our hostess, K, so this is a very toddler friendly mac & cheese. But still yummy.



Turtle had his very first jack-in-the-box experience. He was... perplexed.



And, last, but not least... the girls, after a yummy meal of smoked pork and turkey with all the fixin's!
