Thursday - May 1

We called for an update in the early morning, and Turtle had had a good night. The blockage seemed to be clearing up and he was eating and going to the bathroom on his own.

We went to the hospital for a few hours, and got to check up on our little guy.

I was in so much pain from the stitches, and the nurse told DH to take me home after I had fed Turtle because I was so pale. I cried because I didn't want to leave, but he promised me that he would spend the rest of the day with our baby and my mom would be here soon. He also called our neighbor and asked her to come check on me later in the day after I had had a chance to nap.

DH was good to his word and spent several hours snuggling our little one. He came home around 6:30, and Mom and my stepdad got to our house shortly after. At 9:15, we headed to the hospital again, so they could meet their grandson.

He had had a good day, and they expected for him to be circumcised on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. We were told to sleep in, check back in the morning for a report, and we planned to hit Babies R Us for some last minute items for our son, and to celebrate his homecoming soon.
