And of course, the worst days are followed by wonderful days.

My milk came in, but I've been binding myself since the moment I could get out of bed, so while I am a little sore, the pain is nowhere near what I was expecting. DH was amazed by the size of my chest, but he's not allowed near me so it was short-lived.

Turtle had another good night, despite a couple of heart dips.

We got to the hospital at around 12:30. The nurse, M, told us he would be fed at 2:30 and have his bath at 2. We sat with him for a bit, and switched off with my mom and stepdad, and then at 1, we were going to grab a bite to eat in the hospital so we could bathe and feed him. M said if we wanted, we were more than welcome to leave him in the care of grandma and grandpa (the rules say one parent has to be present) so we could eat really quickly. I almost cried at her kindness.

We rushed down and came right back. They had had a great time taking care of him.
They went to get lunch and visit some of the outlets and we agreed to meet for dinner at 7. Then we got our first bath instruction. Turtle cried a little, but he was very good. We loved every second of it. M let us take our time to enjoy it and then we dressed him in one of his own little outfits and he's just the most precious thing.

He gobbled up his bottle and then we snuggled him. He was so alert and his eyes are becoming so much more focussed.

M was very optimistic about him coming home Monday or Tuesday. Such good news.
We met everyone back at the house so the guys could watch the Derby. Their bets didn't pay off, but that's ok. Then we all went to Augustino's for some good food and wine. I think it's the first real meal I've had since last weekend. It was really nice to just take a break and get away from everything. We're hoping for another good day tomorrow.
