Sad today

Mom is leaving tomorrow.

I know this sounds like me being a whiny baby, but I don't want her to go. I realize she had her husband to go home to, but dammit! Why can't she stay???

DH is sleeping so Mom is making me french toast from our panera cinammon raisin bread (god help my arteries and my thighs), and she is going to treat me to lunch today at Caddyshack - we haven't really gotten to spend any time together, and so we are going to leave DH watching Turtle. He'll do ok - if the dogs act up, they just get put out in the yard, which they adore.

I'm letting him sleep in - I really think he was hoping I would take the 7am feeding, but no such luck. I was wiped out from the 4am. Turtle likes to sit up a bit after he eats now, so I'm reading aloud to him from Running With Scissors. If anything, he'll have a colorful vocabulary. :)
