A week of milestones!

It has been a crazy week!
First and foremost, Turtle turned 5 months old on Tuesday. He's clearly not super impressed by the whole thing. Maybe 6 months will be more exciting.
Last night was rough. Turtle has had screaming fits prior to bedtime the last two days, and so it takes a while to get him settled and then to get to sleep. We finally hit the sack around 11, and woke up at midnight because Miss Molly-pug had gotten sick. I felt awful - horrendous congestion and sneezing. I don't know what it was. I got everything cleaned up, got the dogs back to bed, and laid awake til about 3:30 this morning, feeling absolutely craptastic.
Turtle stirred early (5:30) but put himself back to sleep, and then Oscar woke up at 7:30 on the dot, looking to go out. Surprise, surprise. That dog has a built in alarm clock. He knows when it's time for his morning potty, when it's time for breakfast and when it's time for dinner (which, in his world is 3pm. He's clearly an older dog - looking for his early bird special). DH got Oscar downstairs and of course, Turtle decided to wake up. I ran downstairs to grab some diapers for him and DH told me to go back to bed. ::blink blink:: He took the baby, shut the bedroom door and told me to get some rest.
I stayed there for 30 minutes. I felt guilty. And I was watching the news, which annoyed me. So I showered, got dressed and just as I was making the bed, I heard "Honey, your son is sitting!"
So of course, I had to go bolting down the stairs and found this:
He hung out like that for about 10 minutes. He was propped up in the corner, but dropped his toy and wanted it, so pulled himself forward. (Ignore the drool in the first picture). It was too cute. He loved hanging out.
And as if THAT wasn't enough, I put him down for tummy time, and watched him figure out the army crawl. For the most part. He can move his arms and legs right, but he's not getting the forward momentum. That's ok. However, while he was wriggling around, he lifted his leg too high and flipped himself over. Wheee! Since he's not a huge roller, I consider this another accomplishment.
Of course, he made up for all the excitement by flat-out refusing to nap today, leading to a late afternoon meltdown. Good times. DH finally got him down a few minutes ago, and is giving me the rest of the night off! Yay!
