Honestly, the last few days I've really been thinking how lucky we are. I mean, really, really lucky. With all the crap that's going on in the world and our country, and all the petty, stupid nonsense we get hung up on day in and day out, we are just so ridiculously blessed with one of the greatest gifts in the world: a sweet, happy, perfect child. It really makes me stop and take a breath and just appreciate the good things, rather than dwelling on the bad.
(No, I'm not pregnant and no, my hormones are not going crazy. I just think it has to be said).
Some things in Turtle's life:
We started Gymboree for real on Monday. He. Loves. It. He spends the majority of the class giggling his ridiculous giggle. I love it. I really enjoy the time with him and I'm doing my best to do some of his favorite songs at home with him every day. We've also discovered that he has an inexplicable love of hand puppets, so that's going to be added to his Christmas list. Not sure where he got that from. I think puppets are odd. Oh well.
He has worked himself into a beautiful nap schedule. He takes one two-hour nap in the morning and two one-hours in the afternoon. It's fantastic. And he's great about it. Even if he doesn't fall asleep right away, he lays in his crib and hangs out. There's rarely any fussing and it's awesome. I hope this continues.
His top left tooth is almost in. It's soclose! He keeps rubbing his tongue and trying to get his lips on it. It's so cute. There are four total coming, but they don't really seem to be bothering him.
Mmm, green beans are yummy! More, please!
We have a big weekend planned. Friday is a Family Day. We're going to run errands and then do a dinner and movie at home with Daddy, since he is leaving on Sunday for a business trip. Saturday, we might do a charity walk for down syndrome, and have plans to visit a fall festival and go to dinner. Sounds exhausting! I also want to get cracking on some Christmas shopping.
Here are some of the latest pictures of my cutie pie:
Exersaucers rock, Mom. They ROCK!
Mom, what's that thing in front of your face? Put that camera down and play with me!
Hello, stuffed Froggy. We meet again. I will put you in my mouth and soggify you!
I wasn't gonna, Mom! Honest! We were just playing. Yeah, that's it! Playing!
