Ugh. Today is not ending well.

Mom called to say that Dad has been admitted to the hospital. He got home from work, pale and with a racing heart. When they got to the ER, his heart rate was 160!!! They got him down to 80 so he is stable, but Mom doesn't know when he can come home. He has already had a bypass and he has an extra valve in his heart, which can cause his blood to flow too fast. There was a 1 in 100 chance that the bypass wouldn't regulate the flow, and it seems he's that one.

Mom says not to fly up, but I really want to. She sounds so tired and so scared. She vowed to stay at the hospital til they kick her out - god help the nurse who gets that duty.

The in-laws left early this morning - they had doctor's appointments this afternoon. I was up most of the night not feeling well, so I was a little relieved to have the house back to ourselves again.

It was also good to be able to get Turtle back on track with his schedule - having visitors and outings kind of disrupted him a bit, so we're trying to get him into the swing of things again. DH is having a tough time with it. He doesn't seem to realize that babies are going to go through good times and not so good. He'll wake up earlier sometimes, later others. It won't be the same every time, and that's not a reason for alarm. I'll get them both trained soon enough. :)
