Life's A Beach

This morning, DH and I took advantage of the nice weather to bring Turtle to the beach.
We had a little breakfast picnic, and Turtle got to try his first Dunkin Donuts munchkin. He enjoyed it, but not as much as I thought he would.
But he still ate it all up. ;)
DH showed Turtle the proper technique for building a sand castle.
Turtle helps pack the sand.
Unfortunately, it's been a good, long time since DH actually built a sandcastle, so we sort of had some sand ruins, instead. Good for history lessons.
Turtle got into his role as babyzilla to help tear down the ruins.
Then it was down to the water's edge. He loved it.
Of course, he had his trusty shovel to help him out. He refused to put it down.
So serious.
"See, Mommy? I have a shovel!"
"What are you taking pictures of?"
So much fun!
A gust of wind took his hat. We were able to get it back.
Then it was time to head home, before the rain started. It was a fantastic day.

SO Cute! I am glad he liked it. His little hat is adorable :)
We need to go together....JAX beach ALWAYS has tons of wadding pools a few inches deep, thats the part Harper really likes playing in!!
Love the 3rd one from the bottom. Such a great shot of him. Hat blowing off is priceless. Great timing! Looks like you guys had a wonderful day.
