Starting the Nursery... Finally!

I think we've both been in a bit of denial about starting Turtle's room.

Last weekend, we finally ordered the crib and dresser, and yesterday, we went to Home Depot for paint. Hubby has made it very clear that he does not want me doing ANY of the painting (ironic, since I painted our entire townhouse and the majority of what's painted in our new house and loved every second of it), so it's all on him. So far, I haven't heard lots of cursing, so that's a good thing.

Now I really have to start making decisions on artwork. We've decided not to do a "theme" (to the horror of my extended family), so we're relying more on colors and patterns than a concept.

I would really love to do some kind of squares or stripes on an accent wall, but we have knockdown throughout the house and I don't think either one of us have the patience for dealing with that. Oh, well - we'll just make up for it with some cool decor and call it a day.
