With the finishing touches and big announcement of my new website (Red Velvet Armadillo Bakeshop), I've been behind.

So here's Turtle with his crayons and big drawing pad. He loves... eating the crayons. Or coloring his legs. Thank god for washable crayons, right?

Bentley is giving you the side eye. He's not really sure what to make of all this creative expression. It seems to be taking away from naptime.

On Saturday, DH did some research and planned to take us out for a taste of Old St. Aug. We sallied forth in search of the Spanish Bakery, for fresh empanadas. Yum, yum and more yum.

The Spanish Bakery is an itty bitty hole-in-the wall kind of place. It's cash only, and you can choose from empanadas, sausage rolls, picadillos and soup. You can get a combo that includes bread, soda and a cookie. Or just go it alone. The empanadas were delicious. Even Turtle gobbled it up.

All the while, sitting outside at a picnic table like a big boy.

Nom. Nom. Nom.

Daddy, there's still some left!

Of course, our day wouldn't have been complete without a trip to Kilwin's. I planned to split a small cup with Turtle, so I asked DH if he thought Turtle would tolerate mint chocolate chip (of course, I would volunteer to take one for the team and eat all the chocolate chips).

DH leaned down to give Turtle a taste of his waffle cone. Yeah - he was a fan.

Yum!

OMG he looks like a little boy.. when did that happen? No more baby face?!

And PS, I love the Spanish Bakery. I've been a fan since I discovered it in 6th grade on a field trip. YUM!
